The heart of this book is entirely personal. After spending decades as a partner at a "Big Four" public accounting firm working with massive global financial frameworks, my toughest challenge actually happened right at my own kitchen table. I was trying to figure out how to pass along crucial money lessons to my two children. Like most kids, they understood that money matters, but they had absolutely zero interest in digging into "boring business stuff," as they called it.
To bridge that gap, I started writing my thoughts down in family emails. I wanted to show them that accumulating wealth is actually simple, even if it isn't always easy. Those emails quickly struck a chord and began circulating among our extended family, friends, and neighbors, which eventually grew into the book's complete roadmap.
I ultimately wrote Wealth Your Way as a lifelong guide for my kids to help them navigate their own unique journeys, build true financial independence, and hopefully avoid a few major missteps along the way.
My career in public accounting gave me the technical background to separate market clarity from marketing hype, but my role as a father is what inspired me to translate those heavy concepts into a simple, purposeful plan that any reader can use to buy back their ultimate asset—their time freedom.
