The old fashioned way I guess. Get super frustrated, write crappy drafts, complain, fold laundry and start household projects to avoid the frustration and then eventually come back to it.
If that doesn't work, I'll solicit feedback from my family to try and get the creative juices flowing again.

Some physical activity helps first for me. A trail run, bike ride or dog walk gets my mind thinking about what I want to say and how. Then, next step is probably coffee or tea! Finally, I try and write as if I'm talking to the person I picture my writing being for. Picturing having a conversation and offering something to someone feels inspiring for me.

When Covid hit and I couldn't work my job (as a massage practitioner and pain neutralization technique practitioner, helping people get out of chronic pain) I decided to go back to school and get my certificate in plant-based nutrition from T. Colin Campbell's Center for Nutrition Studies. Our family had been plant-based for 10 years at that point. After receiving my certificate, I wanted to put it to use, but how during the pandemic? That's when I decided to write about our experience transitioning to whole food plant based no oil, and create a guide for others to do the same.
