Jade Wylde It was actually a prompt from WritersHQ for one of their weekly flash fiction events. I saw it and instantly had the idea about a serial killer complaining about how hard it is to dispose of a body when you don't have a spade to hand (the prompt was Spades vs. Clubs). I loved the idea of it being from the killers' point of view, as that's not something you usually see in books. I wrote a little 250 drabble and posted it, but then it stuck with me for the rest of the day, and I realised I wanted to expand it into an actual story. The idea changed a bit over the time I was writing it - which is common for me - but that's how Vat of Acid was born!
