Yes and No! Xylem was a project for a class I took that I published for my newsletter readers. I have since unpublished the print version but left the e-book. I ended up falling in love with the characters and felt they deserved more so I'm expanding and rewriting it. It'll be a full standalone novel and is set to release this spring (2025)! It'll be titled The False Queen this time around. :)

Under this pen name, the inspiration normally comes from a challenge. Someone has said "XYZ can't be done" and I tell them to hold my coffee and watch me do it. Xylem was a monthly writing challenge trying to combine two stories into one. Damn Poo Hex was a title challenge off of a word search. The entire Far Far Away series was a challenge to do a Shrek retelling and build a world around it. I like seeing how far I can push myself. Sometimes it works out and the stories are something that stick with me and the readers and other times, not so much but it gave us all a good laugh in the process!

That's the beauty of being an indie author and having amazing readers who are game for anything. I move on to another book until the voices start talking to me again.
