Linda Collison Nights are a prison, I’m sentenced to life. The monsters aren’t in the closet or under the bed, they’re in my head.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Linda Collison Intrepid Dragon II is the boat that originally inspired my novel, Water Ghosts. Bob and I spent some time in Honolulu's Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor when we had our sailboat Topaz. This old wooden junk, moored just a few rows away from Topaz, captured my imagination. In better days the vessel had sailed around the world and had also appeared in movies and in Hawaii Five-O. Intrepid Dragon II piqued my interest in junks, Chinese maritime history, and shui gui -- water ghosts.
