I won your book Summer in Good Hope from Goodreads. (Thank you!!) I just started reading it and realized it's part of a series and I missed the first one. Obviously, I am going to try to run down all the books in this series, but my question is this: should I pause and wait until I can find (and read) the first book, or can I read this one without it spoiling anything? Haven't gotten very far but enjoying it so far!!

Just read the second book in the series. Will have to read the first book which is already added to my TBR pile along with some of your other books. I liked the town of Good Hope and the townspeople. Loved the flower names for the Bloom sisters! Reminiscent to me of the Fool's Gold series by Susan Mallery. How many books do you envision in the series? 4, I for each sister and one for each season?
Cindy Kirk Hi JoAnne, I finally have an answer for your question. :) There will be seven books in this series. The first four are each of the Bloom sisters, then Eliza, Hadley and Lindsay.

I hope your still enjoying the series. It's been such fun to write!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Cindy Kirk I'm not certain how the idea for Summer in Good Hope came to me. I loved Max Brody from the moment I set him up as Beckett Cross's friend in Christmas in Good Hope. Prim just had to be his heroine. And, I LOVE writing kids so having Callum and Connor in the book made it so much fun to write.

How do you get inspired to write?
Cindy Kirk I don't really need to be inspired. I simply sit down at the keyboard and go to work. :) I guess you could say my "inspiration" is the book's deadline. It isn't hard for me to get to work...because writing is my passion.

What are you currently working on?
Cindy Kirk I'm working on the edits for Be Mine in Good Hope (Marigold's story) which will be out January 28, 2017. In a few weeks, I'll jump into writing Fin's book, Marry Me in Good Hope, scheduled for August 2017.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Cindy Kirk Continue to hone your craft. Go to workshops or take them online. Identify your weakness and take classes that focus on that area. Continue to read.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Cindy Kirk Writing. I love writing stories and bringing characters to life. It's especially gratifying when a difficult scene or chapter comes together in just the right way.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Cindy Kirk I've never had Writer's Block There have been times when I'm trying to figure out something with a plot and it isn't coming easily. When faced with such a dilemma I pose the question to myself before I go to bed and usually have the answer when I wake up!
