I find I get the biggest kick from creating worlds and providing enjoyment for the people who read the books. I feel that if I've produced a reasonable story that gives people pleasure then I've accomplished my goals and done something positive in the world.

I currently have book 3 of The Crineal Chronicles (Lady of Glenxanie) in final proofing and I hope that it will be released in the next few months. I'm also in the process of completing a first draft of a follow-up trilogy and hope to have that ready for proofing when Lady of Glenxanie goes on sale. I've also timelined a prequel book looking at the origins of the male lead, Crineal, and also started timelining another story set some 60 years after the first trilogy.

I've always loved reading and enjoyed writing stories in English class at school, but then work and life in general got in the way until the internet came along and I discovered fan fiction and ended up writing a couple of very short stories in different genres. After that I did some short stories regarding my characters in an online role-playing game, just to give them some background. The writing then went fallow for a few years due to personal circumstances before I started writing In Hera's Service.

The Crineal Chronicles started life as a little daydream, no more than a chapter in size. It was a small movie in my head of the two main characters meeting and i had no idea that it would become a series of books. Then, after six months, the story expanded over the course of a few weeks to become a full-fledged novel and thus In Hera's Service was born.
