How do you get inspired to write?

Raymond Jennings I've always loved reading and enjoyed writing stories in English class at school, but then work and life in general got in the way until the internet came along and I discovered fan fiction and ended up writing a couple of very short stories in different genres. After that I did some short stories regarding my characters in an online role-playing game, just to give them some background. The writing then went fallow for a few years due to personal circumstances before I started writing In Hera's Service.
