Difficult question. I would return to certain times in the past and see if I could change history which would be fun. If I could, the world would be a better place than it is now.

Hi, Jane, Sorry for taking so long to answer you but I have been very ill and was unable to do much. However, I am now trying to catch up with everything. Thank you for enquiring about me. Best, Helen.

Difficult question as this is the 3rd book in a trilogy. I began thinking about writing the first book in the 90s! The idea had something to do with my past, which I can't go into here and I never meant there to be a second or a third, but they just grew out of it.

I was inspired to write from reading at an early age, maybe 6.. My mother was a printer's reader and she brought books home every night and I read them to her to help with her work. That's where I discovered reading and then writing were everything I wanted at that time, and have remained so ever since. Later, I was an assistant librarian and then had access to hundreds of books, which I started to read as well. That's why I wanted to write them too.

I am working on the third book, The Piercing, in my horror/thriller in the Piper Trilogy, published by www.telos.co.uk. It is a scary book and sometimes it scares me and I have to stop for a day or so. I am well into it now and have to get a move on as I was commissioned to write it!

Just get down to the work and do it. So many people say to me, I could write a novel, if I had the time. I always make time, because it is something I need to do. Keep at it and never give up even though you are rejected. I did, and know I have written over 30 books and many of them have been successes.

Being able to create my fantasies in print. I also like making other people happy - hopefully - or scare them with my horror novels, because I believe that is what they want.

Luckily, I have never had it! I have stories in my head all the time that I can fall back upon.
