MaryElizabeth Williams Beatrice and Benedict! Intellectual equals with a sense of humor. They're a big part of why I named one of my children Beatrice.
MaryElizabeth Williams Writing for me is a way to make sense of experience. There's a kind of forced objectivity that you have to bring to the telling of your own story, that gives context and meaning to what you've been through. MaryElizabeth Williams I was so lucky -- in 2011, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and became one of the very first patients in a unique clinical trial for a form of treatment that's revolutionizing how cancer is treated.
