“Because I'm a writer and also a Maker in other ways, (companies, podcasts, video, design, etc.), I'm happy to share what I can in those domains as well. So, feel free to ask away. :-) ”

For me, I'm in a sort of perpetual rotation between different, yet often complementary creative endeavors. Getting inspired to write has never been a big challenge. Again, that may well be tied to the fact that what I've written and what I'm currently working on is drawn largely from my experience of life, so it's often a process of synthesizing and sharing. Were I to venture into the world of fiction, which I'm getting the itch to do, I'm curious whether I'd have that same ease.

Much of my time is spent producing the Good Life Project podcast these day, and also developing new shows that'll likely launch in 2020.
Also, the body-of-work behind the Sparketypes® (sparketype.com) has taken a massive amount of energy (in a good way) and the wisdom we've gathered now that the assessment has been in the wild with around 200,000 people having completed it is incredible.
Book-wise, I'll be starting work on a book about the Sparketypes and also very likely working on a much more personal, short-form book while simultaneously developing the ideas, doing research and gathering stories for an entirely different "big think" book that'll likely take about three to four years in the making.

That what you think and feel does not stay trapped in the spiraling caverns of your mind. It can get out into the world, maybe land well with others and, at a minimum, allow you the peace-of-mind in knowing you've said your piece and the spin cycle can end.

Weirdly, I don't really get writer's block. When I do struggle, it's almost always because I haven't been engaged with my non-writing life or done the research needed to be able to sit down and let my hands pour what's in me onto the page. That may also be because I write nonfiction. That may change in the future and I'm curious to see what happens when I take on the job of creating an entire world and characters within it.

It was largely about sharing patterns and common lessons that'd come out of my years working with people and also interviewing so many of the most incredible thinkers and feelers and doers over the last few decades.

Spend as much time out in the world living as you do developing your craft. Your non-writing time is what gives you the raw material for your writing time.
