Writing is hard, but it's not impossible, and it's fun. You just have to sit down, and do it. If you write 600 words a day, you can take weekends off and end up with 153,000 words in a year. That's two novels.
Next, be patient with your editing. Make four or five editing passes, have other people beta read for you, join a writing group. All of these things will help you see your errors, and improve your writing.

I am working on a time travel story, tentatively titled The Wormhole Cafe. It tells the story of a teenage girl who accidentally steps into a naturally occurring wormhole, through which one can step backward or forward in time.

That's easy. I love writing. I don't need to be inspired. The actual creation of story to me, is the same as playing basketball is to Steph Curry, or pitching is to Jacob deGrom. The parts that require inspiration are the editing and the marketing. I am inspired to edit over and over again by looking at my first effort, That's My Story!, which I am working on editing properly now. I like the story ideas, but I needed to be more patient with my editing. The marketing part ... if anyone can inspire me to do that, I'd appreciate it.

I've had this idea clanking around in my head since the late 1990's. Since I cannot fully answer this question without detonating a spoiler, I'll say this ... the idea came to me when I read a newspaper article and asked, 'what if?'
