How do you get inspired to write?
Christopher Peter Grey By other books. By the turmoil of life. By wanting to examine the past (my past and past history). By the urgent need to speak out. By other writers and they way they work with words (especially the masters of language). By hoping for a better future.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Christopher Peter Grey There is no writer's block. There is only laziness. And, God help me, I am guilty of that far too often.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Christopher Peter Grey "Only the creative artist is truly happy." And being a writer allows me to examin my past and set things to rights (sometimes).

Christopher Peter Grey Writing another book set in the Renaissance. With witches. I hope (I mean, I hope I write it...)

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Christopher Peter Grey I always wanted to write a novel about the Italian city of Bologna (I spent a wonderful summer there some years ago). I wanted to write about armour, alchemy, Black Magic, conspiracy, friendship, family, falling in love, the choices a young man must make in life (specifically between being and doing good, and the opposite), and life in the Renaissance (my favourite historical period). After a titanic struggle, the book was made!
