The moment a new idea bursts into my head, and I can see a whole story rolling out ahead of me! (I get far more ideas than I can ever write - one of the hardest things about being a writer is deciding which enticing idea to write next!)

By writing something else! That's why I've written so many picture books, in amongst all my novels - they give me something else to do with the front of my story brain while the back of my brain sorts out the big plot problems!
