Gary J. George Mark,

The new characters in that novel are beginning to coalesce.

Gary J. George Nancy,

So good to hear from you. I think of you and Mike Tripp and Steve Myers and David Heslop often. I thought of you all more as friends than students, although you were all wonderful students. You can reach me through my legacy email at the University Hawaii system. (Taught at Maui College for eight years.) gjgeorge@hawaii.edu
Gary J. George Good morning Molly,

Yes. I am currently working on the ninth book in the series, "Desert Moon Woman." There will be at least two more after that.

Gary J. George Formatting is currently underway. It should be finished and in print within ten days. Thanks for asking.

Gary J. George As I mentioned in the second part of my answer, although the Mojave Desert is huge, Needles is very small. I didn't want people speculating about who some of the characters were. In fact, that has already happened. Apparently there was quite a discussion in town about the real life identities of some of the characters in "The House of Three Murders." Actually, although impressions of the town and the area come from my own experiences, the characters do not have real life counterparts. In fact, not even the events do. There really was a place in the river bottom near Needles known as the house of three murders, but what actually happened there and when it happened are nothing like what happens in the novel.
Gary J. George I plan to re-read "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald and "The Crossing" by Cormac McCarthy, two of the greatest works of fiction in the American canon. I read them both every year. I am in awe of both of these writers.
I consume at least one and sometimes two new works of fiction every week during the year, but I always make time for these two books in the summer.
Gary J. George Jay Gatsby and Daisy. Jay Gatsby because he is the quintessential American character: a man who invented himself out of whole cloth. Daisy because she is a prisoner of her own expectations. Together, they are the stuff of inevitable tragedy.
Gary J. George Hello, Colm. You're most welcome for the review. It was well deserved. The Wake was a delight from start to finish. I hate to be vague, but I'm not sure how I found the book. I think it may have been on The Fussy Librarian. Either that or it was on the Wishing Shelf Book Awards list.

Anyway, regardless of how I found it, it was a gem. Thanks again for a great read.
Gary J. George Thank you so much for the kind words about my book. In its current form, I am the only one who can see it. I would greatly appreciate it if you would post the review on both Amazon.com and Goodreads so that others can see it.
Gary J. George I've never had that problem.
