What were the events leading up to my cousin being found dead by her roommate at the bottom of the stairs in her townhouse? Was she pushed? Was she intoxicated? Was it suicide?

I don't say I'm going to write 500 words per day, instead I make a time commitment and I'm OK if that thirty minutes per day only yields a sentence or perhaps a thought. Because, I know on other days that thirty minutes might yield 1,000 words. If all else fails hiking and red wine helps. Make sure you hike first, then the red wine - safety first.

Set daily goals when writing. For example, when I'm in the writing process I always make sure I write for a minimum of thirty minutes per day, sometimes this turns into five hours, but the key is to work on your craft daily.
