Chautona Havig I don't know. That sounds like a Goodreads glitch. I'll see if I'm following you, and if I am, I'll unfollow and see if it helps. Sorry for the frustration, but I just don't control this site.
Chautona Havig Was there more to my brother's murder than a drunken brawl in a bar? (He was the bouncer and the killer was a Romanian here illegally).
Chautona Havig Aw, thank you for your nice note! I appreciate it. Every book can't be for everyone, and I have a ton of books, so I suspect the day will come when one is a "yeah... not for me." Still, I appreciate your vote of confidence.
Writing, editing, promoting, all the stuff that goes into the books is a lot of hard work but very rewarding. :D
Chautona Havig That's coming I think... is it 2022 or 2023? I can't recall and my planner is in the other room.

I need to figure out why Amazon doesn't have Silenced Knight in the Hartfields. So weird!
Chautona Havig I'm so glad you're enjoying it! I am having fun chatting with authors because who doesn't love to talk books!
Chautona Havig T.i. Lowe's Beach Haven & Ebenezer. Oh, and a Dazzle of Diamonds!
Chautona Havig At the appearance of the spider, Jane-the-arachnophobe reached for her flame thrower.
It was gone.
Chautona Havig Yes! Alexa finds something at Cassie's store in HearthLand and it causes all kinds of trouble!

Did you read Silenced Knight? It is a Hartfield "Noella" (Christmas Novella).

Alexa and Faye go looking for who killed a guy as he was putting up his Christmas decor!
Chautona Havig Thus far, I plan to do books 1-6 at least one per year. The goal is to move that a bit faster in this second half, but we'll see. So far we have:

Sweet on You (she sees something everyone else missed)
Such a Tease (she does a little deliberate detective work)
Fine Print (she's asked to help solve a puzzle)

To come are:
Dead Letter (a letter brings a mystery to solve)
Eye to I (She's now recognized as having skills by folks outside her social circle and it causes some trouble--at least I think that's what it is)
Looks Could Kill (she's hired to help with an actual murder investigation. It'll tie into many of the books and wrap it up)

Unless, something I plan for in the series doesn't happen. Then I might do another one or two. I actually have a couple I'm going to purchase just in case.

The goal is to show Madeline going from average girl to developing the skills. I wanted to show the progression rather than an already "adept" detective.

Chautona Havig My only writer's block is title block. Without a usable title, I can't write. OUCH.
Otherwise, I'm never stuck for ideas. So, when I need title help, I often ask friends, my launch team, and sometimes even the people on my Facebook page and/or group.
Chautona Havig Living in an imaginary world and getting paid to do it?

Well, that and meeting super-cool readers who are as excited about my ideas as I am--sometimes more!
Chautona Havig Write. And when you get stuck, find someone who will listen to you and ask questions that spur you onward, and brainstorm until you're dying to write again!

Also: NEVER quit learning. Buy books. Take courses. Go to workshops and conferences. Never think that just listening to someone talking at your local writers' meeting is all you need to do. Never think that since you're successful that you know all you need to do.
Chautona Havig I'm dual-working right now. I'm trying to finish Ties That Blind (almost there!) and I'm working on a novella for a Christmas collection. I love it. It's kind of the sequel to Premeditated Serendipity, and it's not what I expected!
Chautona Havig I'm always inspired to write. I love writing. It's crazy exciting to see what happens next as you begin typing. However, when my brain is tired, I get reinspired by walking around talking out my new ideas for my next section.
Chautona Havig Ties That Blind: Sight Unseen Series 3 is coming out in a couple of weeks. So, the idea for it originated in that first book, None So Blind, because I knew that I'd have to have a solution to what happened. So, when I decided on a three book series, I knew I'd need a man as one of the people. Then it just came to me. He'd be accused of murdering his wife. And since he woke up with no memory like the others... well, he'd not know for sure that he didn't!
