My husband and I led a few workshops for couples, back in 2011-12. The most popular, effective tool from the workshops was this simple 4-step process to help people get into alignment. For months after, people would text, call, and email us asking, "what was that 4-step process again? I need to have another tough conversation." We put it all in a google doc so we could easily share it. Over time, we heard stories from people who were using the All-In Method, as we began calling it, and realized how powerful it was!
We self-published the book originally as a short 90-minute read on Amazon. The book sold so well, Sounds True publishers approached us and we signed a book deal to expand the book into Radical Alignment!

With a new book publishing in a month, and being in full-on marketing mode, I'm mostly writing promotional articles and emails! My main focus is getting people's attention and telling them how our book Radical Alignment can help them have difficult conversations. Once the book launches, I hope to have some energy and focus to work on my next book idea, which will be about creative leadership for women.

If you're experiencing writer's block, just know you're in good company! I think there are two kinds of writer's block:
1. Type 1: "I have nothing to say and cannot put one single word on a page." This one is never true. I've often sat at my morning journal or a blank document on my screen and discovered I can write a whole page of drivel. Write nonsense. Write about how much you hate writing. Be willing to do that. For days or weeks if needs be. It will get you into writing something "good" pretty soon.
2. Type 2: "I haven't written anything good and don't know where my project is going." Ok. This one may have some truth to it. Keep going. Ask a trusted advisor to talk about your challenges, structure, or thinking. Hire an editor. Talk with them about ways to improve what you've got.
I use both of these techniques. Keep working. Keep showing up and writing nonsense. Sometimes a page of nonsense leads to something really satisfying. Gotta keep those muscles stretched.
And, know that no one in history has ever written their "thing" alone. They have friends and partners they talk with about the work. They hire editors. They join writing groups.
If you're stuck, wave your hand in the air and ask for help! Good luck!
