Rich Meyrick I'm always thinking about Jaspa's Journey... The next sentence, the next chapter, the next book! I'm never lacking in inspiration to write.

My problem is more one of forcing myself to make time to write, when other things 'appear' more pressing, such as arranging book signings and finding new ways to promote my books.
Rich Meyrick My books always have two aspects, the location and the storyline. Usually I decide on a place I want to set Jaspa's next adventure, then come up with a story that fits. The unusual thing about Jaspa's Journey 3: Jaspa's Waterloo is that the initial idea for the story came first. I knew I wanted to incorporate geocaching in the book... then I remembered the fun, frustrating and ultimately fruitful time we had geocaching around the Waterloo battlefield... and the rest, as they say, is history. (And the third installment in the Jaspa's Journey series!)
Rich Meyrick I finally completed the first draft of Jaspa's Journey 4: The Hermit of Kennecott (set in Alaska) on Christmas morning. While the first round of readers dive into that manuscript, I can at last get my teeth stuck into Jaspa's Journey 5: The Ses Collector of Venice!
Rich Meyrick Walk away from it for a while... But not too long. Stay away too long and it stops being writer's block and becomes procrastination!
