Samantha Rose I take a notepad and write down whatever comes into my mind. It doesn't have to make sense, I just get my thoughts down on paper, I might fill up several pages or sometimes it's just one.

After I have done that, I rip out what what I have done and tear it up into pieces and put it in the bin because if it's written down on paper then it's out of my head and therefore not cluttering up my imagination - I find it very therapeutic actually.

Then I write a sentence or paragraph (relevant to my project) and congratulate myself for at least making a start because 10 minutes of something is better than 10 minutes of nothing.

And at the end of the day, every single book that was ever written, started with a sentence.
Samantha Rose For me, it's about being able to express myself through my writing with no holds barred. It's about hanging out with my characters in the world that I have created and can step in to any time that I choose.

Samantha Rose You cannot please everyone with your writing so don't censor your work just to get someones approval. Some people will love what you write and some people will hate it. Either way, you have caused a reaction which is no bad thing.

Stay true to yourself and your characters/story, write to the best of your ability and don't let anyone influence you to stop writing.
Samantha Rose I am planning to write a children's book
Samantha Rose Being with the right people, it's that simple. If I am with someone who makes me laugh and can step into my creative world and see things how I see them then that is enough to inspire me.
Samantha Rose I have always written stories about talking animals but it was when I met a group of Italian greyhounds and their owners that I had the idea for Planet Iggy (my debut novel).

These little dogs have inspired me, they have such character and attitude and my own big gentle giant of a dog Brutus, has virtually grown up with the Iggies and has had many an adventure with them. That is how Planet Iggy was born.
