Miranda Mayer If my manuscript slows down and stalls, it's probably because there's something there that just isn't working. It's my manuscript telling me that I"m going the wrong way and that I'm bored with it. And if I"m bored, my readers will be bored. So I go back to a spot where I feel that glimmer of inspiration still, and I amputate what comes after it, and start from that point afresh. That usually works for me. It's only a matter of not being so married to my own writing that I can't just delete big chunks of it.

Miranda Mayer I've sabotaged myself and have two books in the Red Slipper Series in progress. One is about Giants, the other is about Demons.
Miranda Mayer I've been going down the list of common fantasy themes, as I work through my Regency-esque Fantasy stint with the Red Slipper Series. I have a general idea of what books remain, and what new themes they will have, but I'm still uncertain as to how many books the series will contain.
