Most of the time I do know the ending, or at least the climax I'm writing toward. Sometimes the story does take and interesting turn and surprise me, though.

Hi Priscilla! Unfortunately I have no influence over which books any particular library buys for their collection. But here's the great news: YOU do. Most local library will respond to their client's/member's requests. So, if there is a book you'd like to see in the collection at you local library, asked them to purchase it. You might be surprised!

I wish I had some fabulous Gothic family secret, but, alas, I have to make stuff up to be perceived as even slightly interesting. I am a complete gypsy and often know my way around places I've never been to before--but that's sort of a ghost story:)

Eve Dallas an Roarke, for sure. They both are fully-realized in their own right as individuals--strong people, both of them. Yet, they have such a great, supportive relationship. Great roll models. Now...if I could just find a Roarke....

To set the stage, I write funny romantic mysteries set in Vegas. One night I was out to dinner with a couple of friends. As an appetizer we ordered smoked mozzarella. Curiosity being my middle name, I wondered aloud how they gave the cheese it's smoked flavor. One of my friends, a chef, gave me a look as if I'd been living under a rock, "With a smoking gun, of course.
That stopped me.
There's just something so prosaic about killing someone with a smoking gun, don't you think?
This led me into the gourmet food world in Vegas-- a dog-eat-dog world with inflated egos and fortunes on the line. To me, murder seemed like a possibility at every turn.
Kitchens can be dangerous places....

I bound out of bed in the morning excited to get to the computer and see what crazy things my characters will do today. No inspiration needed. Of course, if I get to waylaid by research or marketing, the tyranny of a deadline is enough terror to send me scurrying into a story.

Always the Lucky Lucky book (a novella to be out in November or December) but also something NEW! I'm writing a women's fiction series set in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Five women come together in friendship to help each other with romance, business, and life. There will definitely be interesting men and a bit of intrigue, but no dead bodies:) The first is CRUSHED, set in the world of wine. Sophia Stone, having lost her husband to a cycling accident, is facing an empty nest, her mother's decline, and the potential loss of her vineyard, her grandfather's grapes transplanted from Italy that she has nurtured, the embodiment of her dreams. Will she fight for herself, her dreams, and a second chance at love?

Write because you love it. Become a slave to you craft, working endlessly to make it better an better. Then never, ever quit.

I can learn new things, visit interesting places, work in my PJs, write men the way I wish they would be, kill people who irritate me and not have to deal with lawyers. What's not to like?

I write. The words may not be good words, but the physical act of sitting at the computer and visiting with my characters, immersing myself in their worlds, their stories, I find I start seeing my way through.
