Chris Marie Green Hi, Jan! It's true that Penguin Roc won't be publishing any more Jensen Murphy, Ghost for Hire books. : ( But I'm not ruling out indie publishing in the future if there's enough interest out there (and if I get permission to continue the series). It'd be great if both could happen!

Thank you so much for asking.

Chris Marie Green Hey, Chris--oh, there'll be a definite progression. One of Jensen's big problems to conquer *is* that dependency on Amanda Lee at first. There are some twists and turns that complicate the situation, too.

Hope you enjoy, and thanks again!
Chris Marie Green Hi, Chris! Thank you so much, and I really appreciate your interest and the question. :)

At this point, there will be three books in the series: Only the Good Die Young, Another One Bites the Dust, and Every Breath You Take. The third book is out next week, so you're starting just in time to binge read, LOL.

Again, thank you so much!
Chris Marie Green Very thoughtful question, Richard! Stephen King has always left me feeling that way, particularly when it comes to his shorter works. I will probably ask to be put to rest with a copy of NIGHT SHIFT! Whenever I read his work, it feels as if I'm wallowing in a feast.

I'm the same way with Donna Tartt. THE SECRET HISTORY is one of the only books I read over and over again.

How about you?
Chris Marie Green Hi, Richard, and thank you! That's a very cool compliment. I'm actually not very fluent in jazz, although I'm an eclectic music listener. I did write a lot of poetry when I was younger (Where did those days go?!?), so maybe that influenced how I write now.

I appreciate your question and your kindness!
Best,
Chris
Chris Marie Green Hi, Rachael! Thank you so much for asking that. Vampire Babylon should be released by Audible very soon. (I chatted with the narrator in October and she was wrapping up her work!) All six core books will be on sale, and I'll be shouting the release from the rooftops. If you aren't receiving my newsletter, here's the link: http://chrismariegreen.com/lists/?p=s... . I also announce things on Twitter (@ChrisMarieGreen) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Chris-...).

I do have a book on Audible right now--it's a chick lit/new adult called THE SHE CODE. Here's the link: http://www.audible.com/pd/Romance/The... .

Again, I appreciate your asking this, and fingers crossed for more in the future. I *love* to listen to books, too. :)
Chris Marie Green Hey, Vickie! Thank you so much for the question. :)

It's actually really easy to separate the pen names in my head. Chris Marie Green writes action, paranormal, and usually focuses on her female protagonist in "her" urban fantasies. Crystal Green is always going for the happy ending. The only time the two sort of blended together was when I wrote for Bombshell several years ago. (For those of you who don't know, Bombshell was a Silhouette women's action line that didn't last as long as I wish it had!) I wrote two books for them, one of which was my first urban fantasy (THE HUNTRESS). Since I wasn't writing as "Chris" at that time, I used my Crystal Green name, even though the ending for THE HUNTRESS wasn't a traditional romance happy ending. I also wrote a couple of vampire books for Blaze as Crystal Green, but those were definitely romances.

Thank you so much for being here and for reading!
Chris Marie Green Hi, Roswita! Thanks so much for asking--and it's a good question, too. :)

I would say that I do this 50% of the time. It really depends on where my mind is at, especially if I'm looking for a new story or plotting one. Someone might have an interesting physical tick that I expand upon for a character or an interesting way of talking. I try hard not to use a lot of personal details (hardships, personal problems) from those I know; I usually read the news or articles for ideas on those sorts of character details. I also "interview" my characters with a set of questions I keep handy, and their lives get fleshed out from that technique.

Thank you so much! I hope I answered your question. :)
