Discovering the enjoyment of my stories. Sorry if that's kind of a vague answer, but, well I love editing as much as I love writing, because of all those little character moments or scenes that literally make me pause and wonder how the hell it is I'm the person who got that onto the page. Writing for me is about enjoyment. So I think its important that I love my stories as much as I want the readers too, and if I don't enjoy my own work, how can I expect to find anyone who will?

Just get words down onto paper. Your first draft is not the same as your final draft, and some times it takes a lot more work to find your actual story within the one you're creating, but you won't know where to find it if you don't get words down onto the page. Just remember, first drafts are fun and exciting things, where you get to be the first person to discover your story, so enjoy it.

Writing wise I'm working on the fourth book of The Neva Aton Collection. Editing wise I'm working on the third. I've also plans to give Echoe a second edition makeover for re-release onto KDP some time in the new year.

My inspiration comes from all kinds of different things. I tend to write on a daily basis which means my brain is always on alert for new ideas and new story elements or characters. Although I sometimes find for me the inspiration isn't as important as molding that inspiration into the form you need it to be in, and building it into a good story... if that makes sense.

My most recent book The Colours I See came into being whilst going through the editing process for Hyena Boy and discovering one of the other boys had a story that really needed to be told.
