Nick Alexander Thanks Sally. And no, I'm pretty sure she didn't. Did she suspect, even subconsciously? Maybe. But Vicky definitely never told her.

Wouldn't it be interesting to do a 'greatest hits' of your characters? I would love to be at that dinner party.

And yes, I would love to be at that party too.
(Though in truth, for many of them, I already have been at that dinner party and it wasn't always that great!).

I just want to say how much I appreciate The Other Son, and I just finished You, Me, Then, Now. I loved it so much I jumped right into From Something Old before I could even review it. Your writing is amazing. AMAZING. I love how you sneak in certain existential musings. They're so profound but you don't come close to belaboring or preaching. Like Heather and Joe musing on life. Hi Nick, I have just read your story on Amazon and, as a self-published author, it is inspiring. There is one important gap in the story - was there anything in particular that you did to get your first book to the number one slot? I have not really had the time, until recently, to do any meaningful promotion of my books, but I am looking forward to getting my teeth into this aspect of writing.
Nick Alexander Hi Martin.
Well, to start with, it wasn't my first book that got the number one slot, but the 9th... so I suppose you could say I spent 9 years writing novels and slowly building up a following.
The first one that hit the #1 spot was The Case Of The Missing Boyfriend, and I ran it initially as a free title on Kindle, and organised a download party where everyone I knew "bought" a free copy at exactly the same time.
These days I use a combination of social media, free downloads, countdown deals and paid advertising to get titles launched, but because I have so many readers it has become much easier, thanks be!
