Oh, well, in any normal time, I might be able to come up with an interesting and nuanced answer to this question but, right now, being in the middle of shelter-in-place orders during a pandemic, I would take just about any fictional book world. Okay, that's probably not true, because, right now, considering the pandemic and the current political state of things, all of the fictional worlds coming to mind are the dystopian hells we are rapidly speeding toward. Maybe ask me this question again after November (2020) and see if my answer has changed.

I don't get inspired to write. Waiting for the inspiration to write is the surest way to never writing anything. I write, then I get inspired.

The only advice that's worth anything for aspiring writers is to just write. Don't aspire to it; just do it.

I've never really had an issue with writer's block. There are times I don't feel like writing -- I just don't want to sit down and do it -- but I've never had an issue with not being able to come up with something to write about.
Of course, I do keep idea lists, lists which tend to grow faster than I can write them, so that may help. It's something I've always done, though, so it was never a solution to writer's block, though it may be why I've never run into it.
