Nick Travers The simple answer to that is when I finish writing it. You can sign up for my VIP news list on by website, NickTraversAuthor.com and I will mail you when I publish.
Alternatively, you can catch some preview chapters on Wattpad.com.
Nick Travers I saw a video clip on You Tube of a remote control airship being shown for the first time, by some university students, at a model airship builder's convention. This airship moved under it's own power by using electronic synapses to swish a rear tail and steered using fins. It swam around like an elegant and beautiful fish, and caused a sensation at the convention.

My daughters also wanted me to write a book with a female protagonist and after a lot of tries the character of Nina Swift just came to life in my mind.
Nick Travers I don't know. All sorts of things get absorbed into my mind and then suddenly turn into a story idea or character idea. I then work on these ideas to see if I can work them up into a full plot and cast of characters. Some work; some are discarded - but nothing is EVER thrown away.
Nick Travers I am currently working on a Dystopian Steampunk adventure novel called Coggler's Brood. This is a sequel to Gaia's Brood which is coming out in the first quarter of 2015.
Nick Travers 1. Just do it - you will learn from your mistakes.

2. Critique other writers - you will learn far more about your own writing than you will about theirs.
Nick Travers Having a fantastic excuse to live in a fantasy world.
Nick Travers Planning out the scenes for my most recent book caused me problems - I was just too close to the characters to think about the overall plot is a meaningful way. The answer was to generalise the characters e.g. Pirate princess seeks to deliver object from dying white knight, Pirate prince usurps the kingdom and sets it on a course to destruction. By thinking of the story and characters in this very basic one-dimensional way, I was able to step back from the characters and plot the story.

Other ideas: go for a walk / swim. Write something else.
