How do you deal with writer’s block?
Allan G. Johnson I don't think I believe in it. When I don't know what comes next, I go do something else. I suspect that 'writer's block' is trying to make it happen when it isn't ready. I don't experience writing as an act of will. A story isn't something I manufacture in my mind. My job is to listen and be available to the story as it is revealed it me to write.

How do you get inspired to write?
Allan G. Johnson I don't, no more than I get inspired to eat or take a breath. It's part of how I live my life, who I am, what I've come to do.
