How do you deal with writer’s block?

Allan G. Johnson I don't think I believe in it. When I don't know what comes next, I go do something else. I suspect that 'writer's block' is trying to make it happen when it isn't ready. I don't experience writing as an act of will. A story isn't something I manufacture in my mind. My job is to listen and be available to the story as it is revealed it me to write.
