Hello Beth, I used to post on the Hearth but life overwhelmed me and I no longer had energy for it. Is the hearth still active? I am so sorry to read your blog about Allen. Parkinson’s is a real facer and takes a long time to come to terms with even with the newer treatments available. Give yourself time to process things and don’t feel bad about missing writing goals. Beth Camp Hello, Ros. How good to hear from you! As far as I know, the Hearth is no longer active. I also have slowed down but remain commmitted to writing and blogging. Luckily, we are in the earlier stages of Parkinson's. I've found a few resources and appreciate your note of support. Each day is a little better, yes? What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Beth Camp My mother's life has always fascinated me, rather with a mix of dread and curiosity. Blonde and charismatic, she was a Hollywood starlet in the decade of the 1940's with walk-on parts and a career that never took off. In the 1950's, she married a steelworker and sold newspaper ads in Seattle during the recession, but she was never a suburban housewife. Sometimes I think I will write down what little I know. The mystery? How my sister and I somehow survived those alcohol-fueled years.
