Hi Patti, Sorry for the slow reply. I missed the notification from Goodreads that I had a new question! Yes, Eternity Springs still lives. :) I have a trio of novellas set in the Eternity Springs world and my new series, Lake in the Clouds, is set just "over the mountain" from Eternity Springs. It's women's fiction rather than romance, so I needed a tweak in the setting. But, I will continue to write Eternity Springs stories. Celeste won't allow me to leave her behind. :)

Hi Jenny, Actually, I TRIED to write Gaurdinia's story. I tried very hard and I learned that children's books are VERY difficult to write. I have it about half written and it's one of those things I want to return to in my spare time--I just need to find some of that. Thank you so much for asking. You've caused me to think about that story again. I can hear the first few lines tumbling through my head on this hot July morning... I need a little Christmas today! Welcome to Eternity Springs! Emily

Hi Patti! Thanks for your interest!
My answer to this question—and I get it a lot—is that the answer is up to the reader. I know what I believe, but I’ve purposely written her in such a way that the reader can decide.

Roarke and Eve from JD Robb's In Death series. Why? Hmm...I love watching the growth of their relationship over the series of books. And, of course, he's Irish. I listen in audiobook so well, he's Irish. :)

Just send me a friend request and I'll accept, Sandra. I haven't been online much lately--new grandson...and the little guy is sick--but life is settling down again. Hopefully, we'll get back to normal soon and I'll participate here again more.

Hi Melanie,
Thanks for asking. The answer is yes and no. :) For me, Eternity Springs is a mash up of a number of small towns in Colorado--Lake City and Ouray, in particular, and the small towns in Texas near our lake house--Graham and Mineral Wells.

Thanks for asking, Abigail.
I didn't always want to be a writer, but I've always been a voracious reader. When I discovered historical romances as a teenager, I was hooked. I also loved learning about Texas history, so when I decided to try my hand at writing, a Texas-set historical romance was the natural fit for me. I wrote THE TEXAN'S BRIDE and another ten or so historical romances before I had the idea for a women's fiction story. Writing that eased me over to the contemporary genre. Now I'm settled in Eternity Springs and happy as a clam writing small town romance.

Hi Jennie, Sorry to be so slow replying. I somehow missed seeing these questions when I visited Goodreads. The Brazos Bend books are backlist titles of mine, originally written as Geralyn Dawson. But, the first Eternity Springs story ANGEL'S REST along with my Christmas novella, A CALLAHAN CAROL, ties them together

Hi Kathy, Sorry for the slow reply. I've been going straight to the Re-read group when I visit Goodreads and totally missed this. Yes, HEARTSONG COTTAGE comes out November 3rd! REUNION PASS will be out next spring.

Sorry for the slow reply! I've been skipping straight to the group page and didn't see the questions! I don't currently have anything in mind with the Romanos, but I'm writing Lori and Chase now. It's REUNION PASS and will be out next spring. Devin is still growing up...:)

Hi Sharlene, Thanks so much for the interest! You know, I didn't think about doing that when I signed up for the signing. If you'd like to get them there, I'll bring a few with me--but I need your help. Knowing all I have going on between now and then (move, big family event, and a deadline) I'm liable to forget. Would you email me that Monday before and remind me? I'm just a mess these days. :)

Hi Lin, I am working on book 11 now, and 12 is under contract so there will be at least that many. I will continue to write them as long as readers want them. I'm at home in Eternity Springs.
Please, join us in the Eternity Springs Re-read group here on Goodreads. We are on book #1 now!

Hi Carla, Welcome to Eternity Springs! The books do stand alone, but like many series, I think you'll enjoy the experience more reading them in order. I hope you'll consider joining our Eternity Springs reading group. We'll start discussing the first book, ANGEL'S REST, in a couple weeks and continue through the entire series. The group is The Eternity Springs Re-read Group. https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...

Hi Angela,
Thanks for asking! Begin with Brazos Bend...they are prequels to Eternity Springs. Read, Luke, Matt, Mark, A Callahan Carol, then move on to Angel's Rest.

Read, read, read. And then, read some more. I often hear writers say they are too busy to read, and I think that is a big mistake. You learn so much by reading--pacing and plotting and characterization, to name a few things. You don't need to study books, just read and enjoy them. You absorb so much without realizing it. Also, I advise an aspiring writer to read across all genres.

I'm getting a series of three backlist romantic suspense titles ready for a late August release. I'll be introducing you to Brazos Bend, Texas, and the Callahan Brothers. LUKE is up first.
