A Goodreads user asked Emily March:

Have you always wanted to write romances? If not what made you decide to?

Emily March Thanks for asking, Abigail.

I didn't always want to be a writer, but I've always been a voracious reader. When I discovered historical romances as a teenager, I was hooked. I also loved learning about Texas history, so when I decided to try my hand at writing, a Texas-set historical romance was the natural fit for me. I wrote THE TEXAN'S BRIDE and another ten or so historical romances before I had the idea for a women's fiction story. Writing that eased me over to the contemporary genre. Now I'm settled in Eternity Springs and happy as a clam writing small town romance.
