I believe writing is a discipline. It's something I have to work at on a daily basis. It's a part of my daily routine. To not do it is unthinkable. I've had some lay offs from writing and when they last for more than a few days, I really have to struggle to get back into the grove again. As long as I stay disciplined, I am inspired to write. It is discipline that keeps my inspiration alive.

I have several methods for dealing with writers block. More often than not it happens because I've been sitting in front of the computer too long. My solution is to go for a walk, climb a few hills, breath in the fresh air and listen to the birds. Sometimes it may help to meditate, or simply take a short nap.
