I read anything by Michelle Diener, Zoe Dawson, Jennifer Estep, Marilyn Brant, and Robyn Carr. And I read everything by Jayne Ann Krentz (aka Jayne Castle and Amanda Quick). I also read new authors all the time on my Kindle Fire. This is a great time to be a reader!

Inspiration isn't a problem with me. I have more plot ideas than I'll ever have time to write. Sometimes, though, I need to read instead of write. Reading is my first love, and that's a well I sometimes need to fill up.

Raining Love & Murder (Love & Murder Book 4) For those who've read book 2 and 3 (Rules of Love & Murder and A Christmas Love & Murder) this is Chuck's story, Sylvia's son. He's not the usual hero, and I love him for it. I have a special dog story in this, too, along with a Marine veteran. It's a subplot, but I think the dog and the Marine are trying to take over the book. I'm not going to let it happen. Maybe they'll have their own story in the next book.

My advice for aspiring writers is to write! Find writers' groups online or in your area, too. Facebook and Yahoo are the best places. I'm lucky to meet with a local group of writers once a month. There are great blogs and books, too, though I don't need them as much now. You can google to find out what's most helpful to you. Good luck!

The best thing about being an author is readers. I'm a reader, and I love other readers. It's also not bad to sit at home and write - though I do get interrupted often by my cat jumping on my lap and demanding that I pet her. And there's no traffic worries, either.

I don't have writer's block, but I sometimes get stuck. When that happens, the best thing for me to do is leave the room and do something else. When I try to force it, my plot doesn't work well. Usually a solution comes to me when I'm not thinking of anything in particular. When I'm brushing my teeth or taking a shower. Sometimes just walking down the stairs helps. One of my best places to get ideas is at night when I've gone to bed. I often hop up and run to my office several times before I can finally sleep.

Sorry for taking so long to answer. My last published book was A Love & Murder Christmas. I think I started it last September. Although it's a stand-alone, it did have characters who were in the previous Love & Murder book. There's also a pooka in it, and that idea came as I was in bed. I hopped up, hurried to my office and scribbled it down. I thought I must be nuts to use it, because it's a paranormal element, and this is a romantic suspense series. But I really liked the idea, and it worked. As usual, the book changed as I wrote it. Quite a bit of the dramatic scene near the end was a surprise to me, so I hope it's a surprise to my readers, too.
