Elizabeth V. Roach I am working on a story about Maria Reiche, the protector of the Nazca Lines in Peru.
Elizabeth V. Roach I take a rest, go for a walk, have a cup of coffee, work on some other writing.
Elizabeth V. Roach My last book was a series of stories for tots. I put together some of my own childhood experience as well as some of children I knew or stories I wanted to tell children.

Elizabeth V. Roach So many things! Maybe the best is knowing that the world is my laboratory for writing. I meet a lot of people and they are all wonderful resources for writing. Some people are just fascinating, others may not be as interesting, but sometimes it is just fun when I am trying to invent a story. I try to remember how they looked, their eyes, their lips, their gestures. How can I describe a person so that the reader sees them as clearly as I do. Some I put in my character collection. Years later I have use some silly little characteristic I observed.
