Richard Whitten Barnes I have two methods. The first, and I suppose it's true for most writers, is to walk away from the story for a day, and return with a fresh outlook.
The method that is best for me is to talk it out. I think better when I verbalize a problem, so the mere act of explaining it to someone else clarifies it to the extent I find my own solution.
