Hi Edward! Thanks for your question. My experience with Africa stems from a close friend who is a hot-air balloon pilot who lived in Tanzania and now lives in Kenya. And certainly, a ton of research goes into my books--interviews, articles, travel, etc.--whether I've visited the area in question or not. My hope is that I capture the essence of each setting as authentically as possible.

Hi William! Thank you for the kind words about Leine--she's a fun character to write. I'm currently working on the next book in the series and expect it to be available in early 2018 (although The Last Deception took 9 months, so don't hold me to that :-)

I'm currently working on the seventh Leine Basso crime thriller, which hasn't got a title yet. Those usually come last. Don't know why. I hope to have it available in early 2018.

I don't think of "writer's block" as a block. It's more your subconscious telling you that you've made a wrong turn somewhere in the manuscript and you need to figure out what it is before you can continue. I look at "writer's block" as being helpful.
