If readers could take away one thing from Winning My Queen I hope it's that they know they can always change. We can always strive to be better, and if we need help changing then we can turn to God for help. There is always a better version of ourselves waiting for us to reach for, and that takes effort daily, but when we make that effort we feel happier.

I got the idea while talking to my husband while he was doing the dishes one night. We chatted about the amnesia trope, and why I love it and why he hates it. I felt motivated to write a story with the amnesia trope out of spite after that. I also just really loved the character arc for a main character in a famous kids movie. I decided to weave in similar themes while wrapping it around my tropes and setting. I picked a small town because I love small town romcoms, and then just started running with it. From there the series was born from side characters, and I'm excited to weave in my favorite tropes into their books.

Honestly, my inspiration comes from everywhere. Lately it's come from children's books and watching classic Disney movies. I have a whole fairytale retelling series planned just from reading books with my kids. That's where I get a lot of my fantasy book ideas.
As for Romantic Comedies I think I get ideas from tropes, and how to twist it to something I want to read. I find what I like in other books and make it mine. So I have the Bolts of Love series planned, and then another series following siblings falling in love that's on the backburned for a few years.
I think anything can inspire you, as long as you're willing to sit and think about a plot for a minute. Scenes can come to you at any point in time, while doing anything. Write them down and pretty soon you can piece together a story and it's awesome.
