I co-wrote, Rocki and Her Famous Tree with my teenage daughter. The idea from the book was born during the 2020 holiday season, the depths of the pandemic when a small owl was discovered in the Rockefeller Christmas Tree in New York City. The owl had made the voyage all the way from upstate New York and found herself in the middle of one of the biggest Christmas celebrations in the world. We took that story and added a few characters and story elements. The project, which took almost three years, allowed us to tell the story of hope and resiliency during a challenging time.
