Ryan A. Duques is a serial entrepreneur who lives on the shoreline of Connecticut. Duques is currently the head of emerging partnerships within the innovation group at a Fortune 100 company. Previously he was a founder of TutaPoint.com, an online education company, and was co-founder and co-publisher of Shore Publishing, LLC, a newspaper and magazine publishing house in Madison, Connecticut.

Duques is active in his community where he served as a trustee and treasurer for the E.C. Scranton Memorial Library in Madison; trustee and treasurer of The Country School; vice president and treasurer for Vista Vocational, Inc.; and is a commissioner for the Town of Madison’s Economic Development Commission.

The idea from the book was born during the 2020 holiday season, the depths of the pand…moreI co-wrote, Rocki and Her Famous Tree with my teenage daughter. The idea from the book was born during the 2020 holiday season, the depths of the pandemic when a small owl was discovered in the Rockefeller Christmas Tree in New York City. The owl had made the voyage all the way from upstate New York and found herself in the middle of one of the biggest Christmas celebrations in the world. We took that story and added a few characters and story elements. The project, which took almost three years, allowed us to tell the story of hope and resiliency during a challenging time. (less)
