Growing up, I worked at Six Flags Over Georgia, and every day without fail, I had to pass the carousel that sat on the hill near my work station. Of course, I didn't know that was where people met up with their sweethearts until I got a boyfriend of my own!
So when a friend asked me about writing a novella revolving around carousels, I jumped at the chance. Because everyone knows a carousel is so romantic!

When I get writer's block, it's means I need a break. So I read, go see a movie, have lunch with friends--anything to get my mind off of writing. It gives me a fresh perspective and I'm usually ready to get back to work after that.

Keep writing! Even if you write the most horrible stuff you've ever read, you can always go back and fix it. Writing nothing gives you nothing to work with.
