I absolutely love the Key West books - I have the recipe book on my Christmas list! I've been making your granola for over a year now. So good! I'm not sure if you noticed (or if someone else told you) but I found a blooper in "A Poisonous Palate." Do you have a public email that I can send pictures of the error to (if you want to see them)?

Hi Lucy, I love your Key West Food Critic series and can't wait to read your next one! Have you ever thought about creating a cookbook for all the recipes? Maybe include some recipes from some KW restaurants?

Hi Lucy, I just received a copy of your latest book via the Library. I am finding typos within the first few chapters. Like in one case there were two "are" instead of one. I was not sure if you wanted someone to send you errors after the books was already published. So do you want me to write down the errors and send those to you via this way? I have read I believe most of this series and enjoy the main characters

Hi Lucy. I have no idea if you’ll answer this question but I’ll never know unless I ask. Have you ever lived or stayed on a houseboat? I’ve read and loved all of the Key West Food Critic books and truly hope you keep writing them!
Lucy Burdette Hi Kim, thanks so much for your question and your kind words. I have been on smallish boats for vacation, but never longer than a week. It turns out I'm very prone to seasickness! But I love imagining Hayley and Miss Gloria living on Houseboat Row--it's a real place, but I make up the details. And sometimes I go visit a friend who lives there, or sit on the dock and listen and watch so I can get things right.

The eleventh book in the series will be out next summer--new title should be announced soon!

Hi Lucy, were you a Food Critic yourself? Were some of these things you actually ran into because I could believe it.
Lucy Burdette Hi Sherrie, thanks for the question! I have never been a food critic, but I do love to eat:). And I love reading about food, both in nonfiction and fiction, and have studied books and articles by some of the critics I admire: Ruth Reichl, Frank Bruni, Sam Sifton, Pete Wells, and more. The research for this series is so much fun!

Are you working on a next book in the Key West series?
Lucy Burdette Yes I am! This one will be published in 2018 by Crooked Lane Books, probably in the late summer. I'll keep you posted!

What are you currently working on?
Lucy Burdette I am working on the 8th in the Key West food critic mystery series and so thrilled there will be more! Crooked Lane Books has picked up the series so there will be at least two more.

Just started reading Killer Takeout....I love this series....please tell me this series will continue?
Lucy Burdette thanks so much for reading Paula--and I'm so pleased you are enjoying the series! The publisher did not renew it sadly, but that doesn't mean there won't be more coming. I'm in the process of figuring things out and will keep you posted.
