Stehle, thank you for the kind words and for the question! I’m working on Infinitude, the sixth and final book now. It’ll be out in all formats sometime in 2024. Sorry for the long delay. I returned to my airline pilot career. That cut into my writing time while I was in training, but I am back at it now.

Since Multiverse Space is diving firmly into military science fiction, I wrote it such that you could jump in with Magnitude. My evil plot for world domination is that military sci-fi fans will jump in here and then like the story so much they go back and read Solitude, Multitude, and Amplitude, but it is not required to follow the story. However, having done so will definitely deepen your understanding of the backstory.

Linda, thank you for the kind words. I’m so glad to hear you are enjoying the series. Amplitude is in the works now. We were hoping for a holiday release, but now it looks like it will premier in the first quarter of 2020.
Glad to hear you got a laugh out of the Easter egg. I’m a big fan of Expeditionary Force. I can neither confirm nor deny that there may be additional gems hidden within Amplitude.
If you’re looking for some audio to fill the void, I may have a suggestion. R.C. Bray is remaking the audiobooks for my previous series, Sector 64. The first two of the three titles are already available in audio with the third one coming out in December.
Thanks again for the question and the kind words. Have a great week.
Sincerely,

Where do the missing socks go? What wild life are they leading—when we are not looking—that often causes one in two socks to turn up missing?

Hey, Lizzie! Thanks for the question. There's some interesting trivia behind his first name. The narrator of The Martian suggested it. For the last name, Singleton seemed fitting for the last man on Earth. However, throughout the writing of Solitude, Vaughn was John Singleton. During final editing, I decided the first name was too common, not memorable enough. I wanted to change it, but it had to be a name that rhymed with John, lest I inadvertently create many unintended rhymes within the manuscript when I did a global Find and Replace. I told R.C. Bray, Solitude's audiobook narrator, of my dilemma, and he suggested Vaughn. It was a real V8-slap-to-the-forehead moment.

Stu & Fran from King's The Stand. Loved their character & relationship development in the face of overwhelming events & adversity. The only fictional couple that I've wondered what they did after the events of their tale.

I work with an outline. Each element of it represents a scene. When I write, I place the characters in a physical location that works for said scene. Then, I write down the thoughts or actions of my character. Soon, the story begins to write itself. My favorite part is when I create an aspect or background issue that, later, ties into an element of the plot in an unexpected way. I call it synergistic synchronicity.

When I, along with several other military pilots, saw a craft of unknown origin maneuvering in ways contrary to physics as we know it. I'm not saying it was alien. Actually, considering it was over the same part of Fort Hood that the Air Force used for military training, it could have been terrestrial in origin, just significantly more advanced than anything we've acknowledged.
