Much of my idle time is spent visiting the Aren in my mind, and I love the characters and story so much that finding enough time to write about their adventures is the problem - not getting inspired to write it down.

I love it when someone reads something I've written and tells me they loved it.
One of the best reviews for my first book was "I loved the good guys and hated the bad guys. When are you releasing Book II?"

I have several writing projects going at any one time. If I'm stuck on one project, I will either pick up another, or do some book marketing or other productive work around the business side of being a self-published author.
I have not found that writers block lasts for very long, as the stories from my fantasy world are constantly flying around in my head, so it's easy to put them down in words.

Years ago I started to go "on vacation" in my mind to a land of fantasy, magic, mystery and intrigue. Places and people started to come to life, and more and more I would jot down notes and plot lines and think about what it would take to make a book out of these "visits."
I still think of my writing in that regard. I go to the Upper Aren, visit with the people there, and come back and write about it. The Watcher's Keep and The Dragon Rises are just stories of adventures from these visits.
