Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Timothy Bond Years ago I started to go "on vacation" in my mind to a land of fantasy, magic, mystery and intrigue. Places and people started to come to life, and more and more I would jot down notes and plot lines and think about what it would take to make a book out of these "visits."

I still think of my writing in that regard. I go to the Upper Aren, visit with the people there, and come back and write about it. The Watcher's Keep and The Dragon Rises are just stories of adventures from these visits.
