I love a good vampire story. In fact, I can't seem to get enough! I needed more though. So many stories get hung up on suspense or make it impossible for the vampire to feed and let you down at the end. Some are just bad. Some are too gross. Some are just unbelievable. My story offers just the opposite, it's almost a form of meditation where we see a lot of positive and happy things happening, good supportive relationships and lots of love and of course neck feeding! The key is this vampire craves a chemical the human brain only creates when happy known as Oxytocin. There are page-turning incidents and minor cliffhangers too, but in the end, the book makes the reader's own brain flood with Oxytocin. So keep a light on just in case a vampire smells you!

Blame that on a creative imagination. Ever since grade school, I have always had a storyteller kind of mind. I love to tell stories or see different ways of telling stories, especially vampire stories. And I mix a lot of reality into my stories making them more believable. The world of romance and love mixed with the world of insects, viruses, and parasites are worlds full of ideas for vampire stories. Then there are the true revelations such as viruses being able to change DNA, parasites taking over minds, love creating its own chemistry in the brain and being able to bring it all together into an interesting story. The feeding habits of spiders are unreal, even the female mosquito hunting for a victim can be interesting. Inspiration comes from the fiction and non-fiction world.

I'm currently working on my sequel to Blood Relations. The first book deals with Eros escaping his home planet and coming to Earth. The sequel picks up on the love affair between Eros and his new love Lori. I also plan to write a third book that will center on their twins. The thing is Eros is a vampire from another planet struggling with the problems his special diet creates! The books are huge, like Twilight close to 600 pages. Lots of fun writing and editing!

Keep writing! The more you write the better you get. Don't let others discourage you. Know in your heart that you will never be able to please everyone. Relish your differences. Those are the things about you no one else have. Most of all, don't let rejection from agents pull you down. They only can take one book out of thousands. Know you're in good company in that pile of rejection. Keep positive and keep writing!

Being able to create new worlds, make believing new experiences, and exploring new wonders. The human imagination is one of our greatest gifts in both the real and imaginary world. Without imagination, life would be so boring! Without writers bringing their imagination to books, movie screens, and scientific discovery, we may have never flown, never reached the moon, or never experienced Star Wars. Some of the greatest writers of our past inspired generations that followed.

I deal with writer's block by going for a walk outside, reading, watching a rerun on TV, or daydreaming. Sometimes we need a little time for our brains to recharge and give our subconscious mind an opportunity to speak.
