I've been spinning stories in my head for most of my life. For as long as I can remember, I've struggled with insomnia. As a kid, I started telling myself stories to help me drift off to sleep. At first it was bonus epilogues of how I thought my favorite characters were doing after the story ended. Then it became stories all my own. This trick also helps with crazy Orlando traffic! Now I'm writing my stories down and giving my characters a chance to live on the page.

I actually started "Stick to the Plan" while working as a project manager over a decade ago. Over the years, I picked at the project some more in between a demanding career, getting married, and starting a family, until I recommitted to finishing the novel in 2023. Everything has it's time though, and this novel definitely is better for sitting for a few year. The final draft is so much more nuanced and richer than those original chapters!
