I've always been a writer since the very early days of my life. I get inspired by real life characters and situations and look for the connections and story lines that I think would make a great story.

I am primarily a fiction writer so the best thing for me is the creation of fictional worlds and the characters and stories that populate them.

I am going back to the classics and re-reading some of the great works of literature. Tess of the Ubervilles by Thomas Hardy, Life of Johnson by Boswell and currently Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. Others I plan to read this year are Notes from the Underground by Dostoyevsky and Look Homeward Angel by Thomas Wolfe. The language can be difficult in these but there's a lot of inspiration in the great writers and the stories they construct.
