I was named after the elven queen Galadriel (my middle name is Gladrielle) and have always wished to be like her; an elect lady of light known for her noble and generous spirit. It would be a perk to have her ability to peer into the minds of others and judge them fairly and with mercy. And let's not forget her fairy-like wardrobe. Yes, please!
Yet, as much as I would enjoy living in the ethereal Lothlorien, I am at heart a hobbit. I would thrive in the Shire. Living in a hobbit hole eating six meals a day, going to bed late and getting up late, spending time reading, discussing genealogy, telling stories, daydreaming in the garden, and not traveling much - unless adventure calls.

For fun, I'm reading several books for my various book clubs. Mostly I'm doing research for Hot Mess Express projects including cattle ranching, Midwestern culture, and predictive analytics. As a reward, I'll be reading the latest in the Aunties series by Jesse Q. Sutanto and the Finlay Donovan series by Elle Cosimano when they release.

As a sixteen-year-old in a new town, my cousin arranged with one of her guyfriends to help me practice flirting at a Halloween dance. The dark-haired boy said he would dress as a nerd. So I proceeded to give it my best efforts when I ran into a nerd at the drinking fountain. Later I discovered the boy I was supposed to flirt with came in a toga instead. Being mildly face blind and from a different school I was awful at matching faces and names. I was left wondering who I flirted with that night. Five years later I watched a video of that night and discovered the answer: my future husband! Mystery solved - it's a HEA so it must mean it's a YA cozy.
