Steven King's book. Anything. I want to see how he writes. Crazy that I haven't read him before, just seen all the movies. Reading well done books helps me write better, no matter the genre because every word is so important to build scenes and keep readers engaged.

You've got an awesome story? Great! You've already put together an amazing narrative that will blow our minds? Perfect! But keep working on it. Hear me out ... I know you're excited to show your idea and eager for us to love it as much as you do. BUT keep working on it. That's my best advice. Don't forget we need to fall in love with it. Make sure everything is fully flushed out or you may not keep the engagement you were hoping for. This applies to the past me, and maybe you too.
